New Print: “Crescent Street” solar pinhole photograph

This is a solar pinhole photograph exposed from late June until December 21, 2012. This was a collaboration of John di Domenico and myself. The scene is looking southwest down Crescent Street in Long Island City.

The paths of the sun stream across the southwest sky while reflections of thousands of automobiles streak through the intersection of Crescent Street and 38th Avenue. The homemade pinhole camera held up to the rain and wind of Hurricane Sandy.
