Sunset/Moonset, 2006.3.11-12
Up to now, I’ve been setting out pinhole cameras to capture the moonrise, followed by the sunrise of the following morning. This month I decided to capture the civil twilight of the sunset, followed by the moonset.
After spending the day printing and cutting mats, and working on other projects, I just didn’t have the energy to drive anywhere to set out my “moon pots”. I’ve started calling my cameras “moon pots” after the “crab pots” that local crabbers set out to capture crabs. I often run into some of these folks on my outtings, and have come to identify with them a bit.
So, I just set up a couple of cameras on a deck on the west side of my house. A lazy outting for sure.
